Whenever Celine reveals a new collection, we always look at it very carefully as it will almost definitely be leading the way in terms of what we'll soon see on runways and covering people's bodies.
And in the look book for their pre fall 2016 collection, there were four main tendencies/ideas/trends (call it what you want) that stuck out. So keep these in mind when going shopping and you'll be all set for when the horrible cold time of the year eventually starts again.
No matter what colour (though beige and mustard are preferred), just make sure it's the same(ish) from neck down to your toe nail. The only splash of colour should be your bag.
Scalloped Polo Necks
Whilst scallops are having a big moment this summer and aren't news, scalloped edges on polo necks are, especially when made out of contrasting material like here.
One thing I never thought I'd like again, though I'm still not sure I do. I'd feel like I'm my teenage self again wearing a bag like this but we will, no doubt, see a lot of these soon so I might get my old ones from my mum's attic and see if we could ever become friends again. I remain sceptical though.
Layering under dresses
Also nothing new but just so beautifully done in the collection. Choose longer dresses and either pair with trousers or a skirt in a clashing colour/print or go for head-to-toe colour again.
And one idea not to steal: Nude tights
Nude tights are my absolute pet peeve. Even when they are not in open toe sandals like here, you can always always spot them and they always always make a leg look like it belongs to an 80-year-old. Definitely one Celine idea to leave in the look book.
