It's no secret that Rosie Assoulin is one of my favourites though I don't own a single piece by her (yet).
As beautiful as her designs are, they also come with a hefty price tag and though I am sure they are worth every penny, I'd like to avoid angry calls from the credit card people. One day, I hope, I will be this cool older lady with a closet full of Rosie Assoulin but until then I'll just resort to photo shopping my face onto her designs, which not only gives me an enviable wardrobe, it's also the easiest diet I've ever done.
Her Resort 2017 collection, as expected, is another feast for the eyes with interesting cuts, unusual fabrics and gorgeous prints. Details like the trousers that are being knotted on the side or the dress with different fruits and vegetables embroidered onto it (is the clean eating trend inspiring designers now?) or the ruffled sleeves that can be added to any outfit are what makes her collections so amazing. So fun and feminine but never girly. Have a look at my favourite looks below and get inspired in terms of ruffles, putting focus on the waist and being playful without being silly.
