New season, new investment pieces. And what would feel more like a luxurious investment piece than something not many others will have. And by this I mean something that may not be all over Instagram and on every second 'influencer'. So this autumn we'll be looking at Sies Marjan and The Attico for timeless new wardrobe additions.
Designed by Sander Lak, a CSM graduate and former head of design at Dries van Noten. The name of the brand, Sies Marjan, is a combination of his parents' names.
His debut collection is full of colours, prints and interesting textures and you can definitely see an influence from his days at Dries van Noten, minus the dark tones.
Though only in its first season, the show was still one of the highlights of New York Fashion Week due to Sander Lak's former job as head of design at Dries van Noten. A breath of fresh air.
Sies Marjan is available at Matches Fashion. See my favourite picks below.
Attico is the brand new project by Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini, the two Italian style icons and street style photographer favourites.
The collection comprises of standout pieces made of sumptuos fabrics such as velvet, satin and lace with a luxurious vintage feel. Key pieces are the robes inspired by vintage interior and furniture.
They have combined their different aesthetics to create something unique and to "bring robes out on the streets" and the collection looks truly timeless. I'm all for spending all day in a robe.
The Attico is available at Net a Porter and my three favourite shoppable pieces are below.
